Christmas 2008

I know I am SO late with this post, but I still want to document the holidays so better late than never, right?

We went down to Utah to spend Christmas with my family this year and had a GREAT time! We played games, ate good food, played in TONS of snow, and spent quality time with family and friends. Here are some of the highlights:

1. Decorating the Christmas Tree

2. Making Christmas Cookies with Nana

3. Snuggling and reading stories with Opa

4. Christmas Morning!!!

5. A Haircut from Aunt Tiffany

Before

During (dad helping her look down)

After

6. Playing in the Snow

Boise snow (tiny little snowman)

Utah Snow (had to watch Cole closely so she didn't get buried)
7. New Year's Eve with the Larkins

Congrats on the new baby. I found you through Stephanie. I also new your husband in elementary or junior high school. He probably doesn't remember me. I have written this on her blog before but just wanted to say how excited I was to see a photo of your dad. He was our savior in China. We went there in January 2007 to adopt our daughter. There was some complications in the planning so we were told to get on the plane and not to worry, someone would be there to pick us up. Obviously we didn't know anyone in China. After the long flight from Idaho we arrived there and there was your dad holding a sign with our name on it. He took us to the Relief Society president in his branch and we stayed for a few days until we could fly to our daughter. All of this was arranged for us by members there without our knowing. We went in total faith that we would be taken care of. It was such a little thing and such a brief meeting but he will always have a soft spot in our hearts. It was so nice to go all that way and be welcomed by a complete stranger who shared the same love for the gospel. I couldn't believe it when we started talking and found out his son-in-law was Chad. Small world.
